Steven Pope is a singer/songwriter, guitarist and online music tutor.

Taking inspiration from great songwriters both past and present, I write and play original music to better understand and express the emotional realities of my everyday life.

When I’m not writing or playing music myself, I teach songwriting and guitar lessons online from my home studio. Lessons are available to all interested in exploring their creative side.

Online Lessons

Songwriting and Guitar lessons are available online and are open to students of all experience levels.

With an MA in songwriting, a BA(Hons) in guitar playing, and a personable teaching style developed through over 10 years of music tutoring, I am pleased to offer one-to-one music lessons to anybody interested in exploring music, learning new skills and developing their creative voice. My lessons are open to students of all ages and ability levels and are provided online.

Songwriting lessons are structured to focus on the main elements of a song - melody, harmony, lyrics and structure - as well as to explore our own personal creative process. Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar and Bass lessons are also available for beginner, intermediate and advanced students.
